Within contact records, you can create and view Goals for one or multiple clients to work towards.
When in a client record, navigate to Personal Details > Goals to view existing Goals:
To create a new Goal, click on "Add New" > Goal:
Then a modal will appear:
- Select which contacts you'd like to be a part of this Goal - who is needed to achieve it?
- Give the Goal a name - what needs to be achieved?
- Provide any additional notes about the Goal
- If a monetary value is required to achieve the Goal, add this here
- If progress has already been made towards the Goal it can be added, you can also edit the Goal to amend this at any time if/when it changes
- Set a date for when the Goal should be achieved by
- Give the Goal a priority score from 1-5
- Decide whether this Goal should be visible on the Client Portal when viewing any Circles the client(s) are in
- If you wish to restrict which Circles can view this Goal, you can pick specific ones here
Once you've completed all the details, you can hit "Create" and the Goal will now be created against the client(s) you've selected.
Moving forward, you can edit or delete Goals by hovering over the three dots at the end of the specific Goal and choosing either the delete or edit option:
Please Note: when creating logins for clients, you have the option to "enable" Goals on the Client Portal for them - this will determine whether the client (or Circles) can see the Goal in the first instance. If Goals is disabled for a user then none of their Goals will display on the portal for them regardless.
Clients can also add Goals themselves through the Client Portal, both through a Fact find request or in the Goals section of their Portal (or Circle Portal view) if this has been enabled for them. Goals made within a Circle Portal view will default to being assigned to ALL members of that Circle. Any Goals made by the clients will default to not showing on Circles to ensure privacy, you can then edit this for them.
ℹ️ extra tips to remember/consider internally:
- client having write/delete access supersedes Circle portal access settings
- adding a Goal at Circle level on the portal assigns the Goal to all members of that circle (warning shows on client portal) - and they can only create a Goal at this level if write access is on their login level and given read/write access for the Circle on the portal
- if clients want a Goal against only specific people in a Circle, they'd need to create it individually and ask their adviser/admin to amend (or ask adviser/admin to add for them in the first instance)
- adding a Goal through the portal automatically sets to not being visible on Circles, it's up to advisers/admins to then amend this setting if required. The Goal will be visible at individual levels if Goals enabled on portal, just not Circle level
