Plannr now shows the name of the originating Workflow on Tasks that were created by a Workflow. You can see this at a glance on the Task itself, on your Task list and board, and you can filter your Tasks by Workflow.
This is purely informational. The Workflow Name shown on a Task is read-only - you can't click through to the Workflow or edit the association from the Task screen.
Why is this useful?
Identify the source Workflow of any Task without opening or navigating away.
Filter your Task list to a specific Workflow to manage workflow-driven work more effectively.
Where you'll see the workflow name
1. On the task detail screen
When you open a Task that was created by a Workflow, the Workflow Name appears as a labelled pill (between Assigned and Description).
Tasks that weren't created by a Workflow simply don't show a Workflow row - there's no "N/A" or empty placeholder.
2. On the task list view
The Task list shows a lightning icon, to indicate it’s run from a workflow. If you hover over the icon, you’ll be presented with the Workflow name. Manual Tasks show nothing in that position.
3. On the task board view
The Workflow is shown by a lightning icon and Workflow name, at the top of the Task tile (between the Task Type and Task Name). Hover over the icon to see the full Workflow Name in a tooltip (if it’s longer than the task box).
Filtering by workflow
There's a new Workflow filter in the Task filters panel.
Go to your Task list.
Open the filters panel.
Find the Workflow filter.
Tick a Workflow from the list (sorted alphabetically), or select None to see only manually-created Tasks.
If you leave the Workflow filter as the default selection (e.g. All Tasks), all your Tasks are shown - the filter only narrows the list when you've made a selection.
Sub-tasks and Triggered tasks
Both sub-tasks and triggered tasks created by a Workflow show the Workflow Name they belong to, in the same way as any other Task generated by that Workflow.
