Tasks export

In Plannr, you have the ability to export Tasks. More information on exports is available here.

Generating a Task Export

Go to Reporting under the Business tab on the left hand side menu.

Here you can see all your previous exports.

Select Generate New.

Select Task Export.

Enter a name for your report.

Select if you would like to filter by assignee, who the task is against and/or the tasks' status.

Select a date range for the tasks if you wish.

Decide if you would like custom fields to be included in the export.

Decide if you want this to be saved as a template. This is useful as it means your filters will be saved for future exports.

Generate report when ready!

Locating the Report

Once the report is generated, you'll be taken back to Reporting. Here, you will see all reports, including the one we just made. Click on the one you wish to download.

This will take you to the following page, where you will be able to download your report as a CSV by clicking on the report. Alternatively, you can delete this report from the actions button at the top.

Within the Task Export, you’ll be presented with the relevant recurring task fields within the Export. This relates to the Parent Task (as sub-tasks/triggered tasks can’t have recurrences - see things to note below).

Things to Note:

  • Tasks will recur regardless of status (e.g. including Archived ones).

  • If you want to stop a recurring task, edit any task with the recurrence and change ‘Is this task recurring’ to No. This will stop the recurrence.

  • It’s not possible to add recurrence settings to a sub-task, but the sub-task will recur along with the parent task.

  • Content of a task (description, custom fields, statuses, etc) will recur along with the tasks, however Notes & Logged Time do not.

  • Due dates will be populated based on the time between the creation of a task and the due date, e.g. if it's in 10 days time, it will be in 10 days from when the recurrence happens.
