Best Practice: Change of Address

To support consistent and effective use of Plannr, the following best practice article will outline what needs to be completed when a Client has a Change of Address.

We recommend you add a new address rather than deleting the previous address. This ensures a clean audit trail.

Adding a new Address

  • From the main Client Dashboard click Add New (top right) > Address

  • Add the postcode to look up the address and complete the Moved In Date & Residential Status

  • If this is a new primary address, select the client in the Set primary box - you can add multiple Clients here if you need to update it for more than 1 person!

  • Click Save

This will then change the primary address, but keep the address history.

Editing a previous Address

  • Locate the previous address and hover over the 3 dots, you'll then get the pencil edit icon appear

  • You can then add in any relevant dates you have for the previous address

  • Once you've added the relevant information, click Save

  • The record will then be updated with any information you input (moved out dates, for example)
